Nine days full of sport, fun, and family comfort once again at the Pardubice confluence. For the ninth time, the Na Špici park and its surroundings will come alive with sport and education. Sportovní park Pardubice 2025 will offer from 2 to 10 August a varied programme for children, adults, and whole families. The company Foxconn is a long-standing and above all proud partner of this event, which lifts children from computers, mobiles, and tablets and shows them that sport in all its forms is really fine.

“Foxconn Czech Republic became part of Pardubice 25 years ago. During that time we as a company have grown significantly, matured, and settled in. And precisely because we have been an integral part of Pardubice for a quarter of a century, it is our duty to support the city as well. That is why we are important and proud partners of many local events, from ice hockey, basketball, and football through various social occasions such as, for example, the City Festivities, all the way to supporting individuals who need help. Sportovní park ranks among the flagship projects of which we are truly proud to be the general partner, because—just like us—it has grown, matured, and settled in. The team that organises Sportovní park really puts its heart into it, and the positive atmosphere can be felt at every step as you walk through Na Špici Park,” said Radka Svobodová, Manager of Compliance, PR and Communication at Foxconn Czech Republic. This year, too, the charitable Foxconn Run will take place, intended for all age and performance categories of runners. On 6 August at 4 p.m. athletes will set off not only to measure their abilities but also to help support 14-year-old Matěj, adds Radka Svobodová: “We are glad that this year as well the Sportovní park includes the Foxconn Run, which not only stretches the bodies of many athletes but above all helps with a financial amount of 50,000 CZK those who are battling adversity. This year this gift will be received by 14-year-old Matýsek, who has suffered from autism since birth. At the age of eleven, besides other health complications, self-harm attacks began to appear. He moves practically only in a wheelchair, and the family would like to use the money to purchase compensatory aids.”

With the growing interest of both the public and clubs, this year the number of stations is also increasing – from 19 to 24 fixed ones plus another 5 variable ones. Along with that, the reward system for children has been adjusted: for doing sport at 14 stations they will receive a diploma, for 18 a medal. A novelty for this year is also the cashless operation of the entire Sports Park. This step will bring greater clarity and transparency from an accounting perspective and, at the same time, greater peace of mind for parents – they will not have to worry that children might lose cash. “At all stations and stalls it will be possible to pay with a standard payment card. At the ticket offices visitors will also be able to purchase our pre-loaded card with any credit – and if they do not use it up during the visit, the unused amount will be refunded to them,” explains project manager Pavel Stara. Foxconn is once again preparing its own zone intended for relaxation not only for its employees but also for other visitors to the Sports Park. In addition to the traditional catering zone at the rear of the Na Špici area, the popular fan zone will also be available, which this year will offer even greater comfort. It is precisely here that visitors can enjoy coffee and other drinks in a pleasant environment. The complete programme will be published in mid-July at www.sportovnipark.cz and on the event’s Facebook page.
