Foxconn has reaffirmed its position among the most active corporate supporters of community life in the regions where it operates. At this year's Pardubice Philanthropy Fair (Burza filantropie), held on 9 June in Holice, the company distributed CZK 100,000 among a record eight projects. Representatives of the company attended the event in person, carrying on a tradition Foxconn has upheld for a decade.
Supporting communities, schools, social services, and non-profit initiatives is an integral part of Foxconn’s philosophy. Every year, the company supports dozens of projects worth millions of Czech crowns, matched by corporate volunteering amounting to thousands of hours across numerous community initiatives.
At this year's Pardubice Philanthropy Exchange, Foxconn selected projects delivering direct assistance to people in crisis situations, children, students, seniors, the sick, individuals with disabilities, and animals, while enhancing the overall quality of life in the Pardubice Region.
Specifically, Foxconn supported:
• A sustainable wellbeing and networking area at SPŠE Pardubice
• Safe and comfortable transport for immobile clients of the Křižovatka handicap centre
• Immediate support for children in psychological distress at the J. J. Pestalozzi Centre
• A barrier-free Fairytale Garden project for families with children
• The development of the Memory of Nations Institute
• Adapted sports clubs for children with disabilities within the Athletics Without Barriers initiative
• Services provided by the Sluchátko Therapy Helpline focusing on informal caregivers
• The construction of a shelter for birds of prey and owls at the Lipec Wildlife Rescue Station
