In early June, Foxconn’s manufacturing plants in Pardubice and Kutná Hora hosted a two-day Street Food Festival for all company employees. The event provided an informal open-air gathering space paired with a diverse culinary journey inspired by world cuisine.
Attendees could choose from dozens of dishes—ranging from mini burgers and hot dogs with grilled sausages to Mexican tacos, fajitas, butter chicken, and loaded fries with crispy bacon and onions. Lighter options such as Caesar and Caprese salads were also available, alongside vegetarian selections. The sweet selection featured traditional sweet yeast buns with vanilla custard (buchtičky se šodó), strawberry ice cream, and filled potato flatbreads (lokše).
"An interesting highlight of this year's festival was that employees helped curate the menu through an internal survey, ensuring the food reflected their preferences," notes Daniel Pavlis, PR and Communications Supervisor at Foxconn.
Upon entry, each employee received a voucher booklet redeemable for multiple food and drink portions. In addition to gastronomy, the festival featured supporting entertainment including music, relaxation zones, and fun team activities. An AI information booth was on-site highlighting the company's focus on artificial intelligence, while company mascot Chip helped set a vibrant atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor seating were prepared for attendees.
The festival was open to all Foxconn personnel—taking place on 1–2 June in Pardubice and 8–9 June in Kutná Hora. Through such initiatives, Foxconn continuously encourages informal interactions and community spirit, proving that good food is an excellent way to connect people across departments, professions, and cultures.
