It is a six-kilometre race, which is not about time, but mainly about experience and also the desire to help others. This year's proceeds in the amount of CZK 50,000 from the registration fee go to thirteen-year-old Míša, who is passionate about ice hockey, but due to his handicap he has not been able to play it yet. However, thanks to runners, organizers and Foxconn, for which the check was handed over to the club's representatives by Vice Presidents Nicky Monaghan and Allan Keown, this has changed and new sledges are already being prepared in faraway Canada! Míša will be able to go to the ice rink with a new sledge for sledge hockey with a team of Pardubice Mustangs. At the end of the run, the Olympic 400 m competitor Lada Vondroušová was waiting for all runners and gave them the deserved medals. Lada comes from Pardubice, where she graduated from high school and is now fully engaged in running.
From 7th to 15th August, the fifth year of the popular Pardubice Sports Park event took place. Foxconn, as a general partner, will support this unique event in the next three years. "We want to strengthen our long-term cooperation, which has lasted since 2016, and thus support this unique sport event in our city. As a good neighbour and the largest employer in the region, we simply cannot miss at this event!” The beautiful environment at the confluence of two rivers and sports of all kinds provided pleasant August days for children and adults from all over the country. Visitors could also visit the Foxconn zone, which was not only a competition zone, but also a relaxing tropical zone with a sandy beach, palm trees with a touch of the Caribbean. Foxconn employees had a number of benefits, such as a free playing card, the opportunity to use the company zone or unlimited free ice cream for themselves and all family members.
