The Mongolian Language and Cultural Heritage Center was officially opened on 31 May in Pardubice. The establishment and opening of the club were initiated by Myanganbayar Bazarjav, Compliance Consultant at Foxconn Czech Republic, who reached out to Foxconn’s Mongolian employees and assembled a team of teachers and experts who will work at the center.

At present, more than 150 Mongolian children of various ages live in the city of Pardubice. Almost all are children of Mongolian employees working at the company Foxconn. The Center of Mongolian Language and Culture will operate in the Center for the Support of Integration of Foreigners and in the Cultural Center of the City of Pardubice. The goal is the teaching of the mother tongue, culture, and traditions, specifically with a focus on Mongolian children. Part of the activities will also include clubs of traditional Mongolian wrestling, chess, and dance. Some of the future instructors also attended the opening of the club, presented their work, and met with parents. The ceremonial opening was also visited by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Mongolia to the Czech Republic Gansukh Damdin together with employees of the Embassy, as well as the Honorary Consul of Mongolia Pavel Rejchrt. Ambassador Gansukh Damdin expressed support for this new and first initiative of its kind in Bohemia, wished the club successful and fruitful activity, and donated Mongolian books, textbooks, a collection of educational games, and a model of a traditional Mongolian yurt. The club also received a letter of thanks and assurance that the activity of this center will continue to be supported by the embassy.

The establishment of the Mongolian Children’s Center was met with great gratitude from Mongolian parents, who also expressed their willingness to support, help, and cooperate with this center.
