On the final day of March, another dedicated Foxconn laboratory was officially inaugurated for educational purposes. The specialised facility is located at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (FEI) of the University of Pardubice. Through this initiative, Foxconn reinforces its dedication to partnering with academic institutions and fostering technological education – areas central to its role as a global electronics manufacturing leader.

The modernisation of the technical classroom is part of a broader strategic partnership between Foxconn and FEI. "Associating our faculty with an enterprise of Foxconn’s scale and reputation is a major asset for us. Our institution aims to attract talented, motivated applicants, and our collaboration with Foxconn directly supports that mission," says Petr Doležel, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Pardubice.

The newly opened Foxconn Lab is equipped in line with Industry 4.0 standards. Students will focus on automation aimed at integrating artificial intelligence and robotics into the manufacturing cycle. "This laboratory will serve students across all automation curriculum levels, ranging from foundational coursework to advanced topics in end-to-end industrial process automation," explains Doležel.

Foxconn has a long history of supporting academic initiatives, particularly in the regions where its facilities are located – Pardubice and Kutná Hora. "We strive not only to be a high-performing company and a good employer, but also a good neighbour," says Radka Svobodová, Compliance, PR and Communications Manager at Foxconn.

In previous years, Foxconn funded the complete reconstruction of a specialised training classroom at SPŠE and VOŠ Pardubice. Another laboratory carrying the company’s name was launched last year at VOŠ, SPŠ and JŠ Kutná Hora.

Additionally, Foxconn regularly sponsors student initiatives and science competitions, such as the regional Science and Technology Festival for Children and Youth and FunovationCon26. "We consider education a core priority and a vital societal topic. At Foxconn, we recognise the importance of disciplines like electrical engineering and IT. Our doors are always open to students and graduates from these fields," concludes Svobodová.
