The seventh annual Foxconn Cup competition brought together technical secondary school students from across the region to Kutná Hora. Held on 8–9 April, the event bridged academic theory with practical application, giving students a unique glimpse into modern high-tech manufacturing.
The first day took place at the Secondary Vocational School and Craft Apprentice Centre in Kutná Hora, where participants completed specialised theoretical tests and practical tasks focused on technical expertise and logical problem-solving.
On the second day, the event shifted directly into the Foxconn Kutná Hora plant. Here, participants tackled the primary practical challenge: assembling and commissioning an electronic device configured as a flashing smiley face. Evaluations considered product functionality, assembly speed, and soldering precision.
The agenda also included an expert presentation by Lead Process Technology Engineer Jiří Myšička, who introduced students to Foxconn’s technological architecture and manufacturing systems. A guided tour through production facilities followed, broadening participants' understanding of real-world industrial processes.
